Thirty years ago, Dennis, a Venice Beach local, began printing t-shirts with his airbrush. The first order he filled was for twelve shirts. When that number hit 12,000 he decided to move his operation downtown. Now he helms a 20,000 sq. foot facility, five miles from our Los Angeles office, with a staff of 30-40 people who are responsible for not only hand stamping but also running their seven screen printing machines.
The phrase 'Defend Tomorrow' is rooted in our philosophy of progressing social and economic opportunities for all people. One of Dennis' employees has been working with him for the past fourteen years and shared with us that it has been a pleasure to work with him. Her family includes her husband, her three children, two grandchildren and several nephews who she loves to go out dancing with. She also told us that one day she would like to retire but right now the work is still helping to send her kids to school. It is stories like this which keep us committed to working locally, remaining a part of our community's economy and contributing to the success of our neighbors.
