On August 5th, we hosted our inaugural Apolis Local + Global Gathering at Milkmade on Abbot Kinney in Venice, CA. We partnered with our friend, Milkmade proprietor Brian Lee, and with our downtown neighbor, Wurstkuche to launch the month-long Apolis Venice Marketplace with an open door and a classic meal of a brat and a drink for the first fifty of our subscribers to RSVP. With a couple of us manning the grill, by 7pm dinner plates were prepped and the evening was underway.
We’re always encouraged by the support we receive from longtime friends & new faces. The event was coordinated with Venice’s monthly first Friday event that brings crowds to Abbot Kinney to enjoy the myriad of food trucks, late closing hours and events like ours. If you didn’t make it down on Friday, below is a quick look at what we got up to.
