Ever since reading Muhammid Yunnis' book, Banker to the Poor, we have had a heart for Bangladesh. Banker to the Poor details the powerful philosophy behind microcredit - a system that provides individuals in developing economies with microloans, thereby giving them the tools to shape their own futures.
Seasonally, we invite partners to become part of a growing global trade network, and this summer, we are excited to welcome M. Ghayasuddin, proprietor of Saidpur Enterprise in Bangladesh, to the Apolis family. On July 1st, we will be pleased to release the Market Bag ($58 USD) - the perfect carrier for trips to the farmer's market or grocery store. We have produced a limited first round of the piece, but will continue producing it as the summer continues. We look forward to sharing the results of this project that is already creating opportunity through employment in Bangladesh.
