We are privileged to release the Apolis + Steven Alan Chelsea Market Bag, which will be exclusively available starting October 18th at the Apolis: Nomad Market, an installation within Steven Alan's Chelsea shop. This is our 30th Local + Global project, connecting regional retailers with our global advocacy work and helping to create consistent employment for artisans in rural Bangladesh.
We have always been attracted to the timeless representation that East Coast designer and retailer Steven Alan has exhibited. Working on this project we were also thrilled to get better acquainted with one of our favorite New York neighborhoods, Chelsea. When choosing a new store location, Steven and his team have consistently prioritized neighborhoods they live in or or could see their customers living in. Steven has been drawn to the Chelsea neighborhood because, in his words: "Chelsea is the center of art in America". From gallery hopping between Andrew Kreps, Greene Naftali, Anton Kern, 303, and Lombard-Freid to the dynamic mix of artists and travelers that frequent local businesses including the High Line, Printed Matter, Story, Cookshop, and Tipsy Parson, it is clear why Steven Alan chose to increase his brick and mortar footprint in this quickly growing neighborhood.
We are proud to add Chelsea to our Local + Global campaign and excited to announce the opening of Apolis: Nomad Market on October 18th within Steven Alan's Chelsea shop.
