We are privileged to release the Apolis + Modern Folk Living Market Bag, exclusively sold at Modern Folk Living and Ojai Rancho Inn, located in California. This is our 38th Local + Global project, connecting regional retailers with our global advocacy and helping to create consistent employment for artisans in rural Bangladesh (Watch: Bangladesh Co-op).
Ojai has always been home to an eclectic mix of artisans, surfers, free-spirits, and world travelers. Over the years, Ojai has expanded in size but has managed to maintain a certain small village feeling and prime destination for their natural hot spring. The quality of community spirit that permeates the air can be felt most tangibly at the Ojai Rancho Inn established in 1950 and recently renovated in June 2012 by Chris and Kenny Sewell.
Ojai Valley Inn and Apolis share a common origin of the 805 area code with my brother & I growing up in Santa Barbara. Growing up we regularly take the 30 minute windy back roads to Ojai valley for a meal and have been blown away by how the community has evolved over the years. We look forward to seeing our relationship grow with the Sewells and are grateful to make a global impact with the community of Ojai.
